Training
The following training sessions are being offered by Anoka
County. For additional training opportunities, including
resources for training on Sudden Infant Death Syndrome,
Shaken Baby Syndrome, and Child Passenger Safety

Anoka County Supervision Training
- This a
free two hour training for Anoka County child care providers which is held quarterly.

Tools and Strategies to Promote Successful Behaviors
- This class will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Fridley Community Center. This is a 6 ½ hour class.
Registration is due no later than Tuesday, April 6, 2010.

Teaching Social Skills for Successful Relationships
- This class will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at Anoka/Washington
county Head Start. This is a 6 ½ hour class. Registration is due no later

About Family Child Care Licensing
The role of the Family Child Care
Licensing Unit is to make sure that Anoka County children
under care in licensed child care homes receive safe,
adequate care. The unit is responsible for licensing and
monitoring family child care providers within the county
according to Minnesota law.
Licensed family child care providers
in Anoka County serve an estimated 10,000 children.
