I Am Moving, I Am Learning Training:Anoka County Community Health and Environmental Services is
partnering with Anoka County Child Care Licensing to provide I am
Moving, I am Learning (IMIL) and Learning about Nutrition through
Activities (LANA) training for licensed child care providers in
Anoka County. The goal is to encourage an environment that models
healthy lifestyles and nutrition by promoting physical activity and
exploring creative ways to integrate fruits and vegetables into the
childcare’s daily routine. According to the National Association for Sport and Physical
Education, The Physical Activity Guidelines for Children Birth to Five
states that preschoolers (3-5 years) should accumulate at least 60
minutes of structured physical activity and at least 60 minutes of
unstructured physical activity each day. Participants in the
training will be engaged in movement activities and learn methods to
incorporate more physical activity into their day to assist them in
meeting these guidelines.
