Minnesota law requires that each county throughout Minnesota conduct
a post election review of randomly selected precincts after the state
general election. The purpose of the post election review is to confirm
the reliability of Minnesota’s voting systems by comparing a hand count
total of the paper ballots to the results calculated by the optical scan
voting system. The scope of the hand count is limited to three races,
U.S. Senator, U.S. Representative, and Governor. Here is the information
specific to Anoka County:
- Precinct Selection: The Anoka County Canvassing Board
randomly selected four precincts in Anoka County on Thursday, November
9th, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. in Room 705 of the Anoka County Government

was conducted on Thursday, November 16th, 2006 beginning at 9:00
