Do a Waste Assessment to Identify Money-Saving Waste Reduction Opportunities!
A waste assessment can help your business find opportunities to:
- Prevent waste and pollution
- Purchase products that contain recycled materials and produce less waste from their
use
- Recycle or reuse waste materials
Conducting your own waste assessment can be as simple as a quick walk-through of
your facility or as detailed as a complete review of all purchasing, materials use,
and disposal practices.
How to Get Started
- Fill out a Pre-site Visit Worksheet.
Click here to download the worksheet or call 763-323-5737 or
e-mail commercial@co.anoka.mn.us
to request one. Fill it in and fax it back to Anoka County.
- Anoka County has a technical assistance team that can help you get started by conducting
a free, non-regulatory facility walk-through and waste assessment.
- We will help you identify opportunities to prevent waste and pollution, purchase
products that contain recycled materials and produce less waste from their use,
and increase recycling and reuse of waste materials.
- This waste assessment can help you decide on an appropriate pace for implementing
a waste reduction program which can begin with a pilot program or a company-wide
modification to current operating practices.
- Regardless of the level of effort, the program should involve all affected employees
in making the necessary changes.
