Anoka County has compost bins for sale to its residents. The goal of the program is to encourage residents to compost food waste in their own backyard and not throw it in the garbage. Composting is an easy way to turn organic material from your kitchen and yard into a rich material to improve your soil.
Compost bins are available at several locations throughout Anoka County. Residents can purchase a compost bin from participating lawn and garden centers, during their regularly scheduled hours. Refer to the site information below for name, address and hours of each site.
You will pay for your bin when you pick it up. Payment is made directly to the garden center. The price is $35.00 per bin, plus tax, cash or check is the preferred method of payment. The check will be made out to the garden center. Bins are available while supplies last, limit one bin per household.
